I have grown among mulberry trees, Morus alba, M. rubra and a few other species too which were introduced in North India for for feeding the silk worms. These mainly produce foliage and the fruits, though edible are small and not so tasty. However, I have not seen a unisexual mulberry tree.
May be these exist in USA or some other countries as there are no polyembryonic mangos in North India but but I noticed in Liberia, a tropical country, nearly all mango stones gave rise to more than one seedling.

Quoting from my book Uncommon Fruits for Every Garden, which includes a whole chapter on mulberry:
Mulberry trees are either dioecious or monoecious, and sometimes a tree even will change from one sex to another. High temperatures, strong light, and long days favor maleness in mulberries, with their opposites, as well as high humidity, bringing out female flowers. (What can we anthropomorphize from this?) Flowers appear in axillary positions on current season’s shoots and on spurs on older wood. Pollination is not usually a problem, because mulberries are wind-pollinated, and some plants---the cultivars ‘Illinois Everbearing’ and ‘Hicks’, for example---will set fruit without any pollination whatsoever.

I have not heard of "male" and "female" mulberries yet.
So no need for grafting. Mulberry is one of the easiest plants to root by
cuttings.

Folks:
I'm thinking of transplanting a young mulberry to a more useful
location. If it survives and is male, then does anyone know if male
mulberries can accept female grafts?
Thanks,
