- Date: Sat, 19 May 2012 08:30:51 -0400 (EDT)
Hello group,
Someone sent me the kaki variety "HA" about 2 years ago. I'm sorry to admit
I didn't keep a record of that, easy to find.
It is a male flowering now and I wish to use it in breeding. I wish to know
the seed parent. Please reply off line. It has yielded pollen and I'm
considering applying it to Nikitskaya Bordovaya.

I buried the graft-union of the bellow trees. I did this to avoid the pote=
ntial for (future) graft-rejection (however, unlikely in these cases), do a=
void the entry of borers (at the graft-union, if present), and so that the =
suckers (in the cases of those which do sucker) will be that of the scion v=
ariety:
Sour cherry=20
Peach/Nectarine
Apricot
European plum
Cornelian-cherry dogwood
Flowering dogwood
In each of the above cases, the caliper is not much greater than 1".
Will these root? I applied just a little rooting hormone and can add more,=
if recommended.
Thanks,
Steve
