Will planting raspberries next to gojiberry/wolfberry (Lyceum barbarum) - a
perennial woody plant in the nightshade (tomato, pepper, potato, etc.) family
- cause the raspberries to blight-out?
I'll also have some wild strawberries (Fragaria vesca; F. virginiana) there
and lotus-plum persimmon (D. lotus); the former is resistant (but maybe a
host?) and the later is susceptible to root-rot.
I think if every other condition is good, it'll be fine; and that it would be
a problem to plant herbaceous members of the nightshade family and cultivated
garden strawberries,
as opposed to gojiberry and wild strawberries.
Thanks,
Steve; NJ
