Everyone,

I know some folks are disappointed that paper copies of Pomona will not be
available until winter. I too still like to hold paper in my hands to read.
When I receive the electronic versions of Northern Nut Growers Association's
Nutshell and Indiana Nut & Fruit Growers Hoosier Kernel I print them with
pictures, in full color. Pictures are worth a thousand words and a problem
with printing pictures with articles, especially in color, is the high cost
of printing. Drives up membership dues excessively. Electronic issues is a
wonderful answer. Plus it saves trees!

Jackie Kuehn has done a wonderI editing this issue (and all issues). I know
this sounds self serving as I have an article in this issue with color
pictures of my visit to the Nikita Botanical Gardens and Research Farm
Doslidne
Gospod at Nova Kahovka, Ukraine persimmon breeding farm in Ukraine last
fall. But this is a great issue, wonderful reading. Give membership in NAFEX
a
one year trial, get great issues of Pomona and contribute articles.
