nafex - [nafex] Aronia under trees?

There is a tiny bit of space inside my deer fence, but it's under a big maple
tree. How might an aronia bush do under that? It would get afternoon shade,
but have to compete with tree roots. The only things that have done well
there so far are Swiss chard and musk strawberries.

I have aronia growing in 1/4 day sun under chestnuts and buartnuts and
they seem to be doing fine....
