Thanks so much for posting this John! I love anything with an unusual colour.
But now I am jealous of all you Americans: Burpee's carries both the
Pineberry White Pine Strawberry and the Purple Wonder strawberry! Sigh. How
many years until someone brings them both to Canada for me?
I did send Burpee's a pathetic, begging email... maybe they will ship to
Canada if I promise them gold bricks!

Pineberries are a strawberry species hybrid of Fragaria chiloensis, a white
fruited strawberry with red seeds. Available fur purchase in Europe. Plants
are available also in the US from Burpee.
You can find photos of the fruit, as well as more information here:

Nope. You made the right decision!
Just one comment on what I read at the forum listed: Haskaps/Honeyberries are
definitely not seedless. In fact they have larger seeds than blueberries. I
know this for a fact because I have saved seeds from my honeyberries several
times using a household strainer to clean/capture the seeds with no trouble
whereas I had to do all kinds of straining thru paper towel when I save
blueberry seeds a few years ago. Burpee's sells theirs as seedless too.

Well, I probably shouldn't have, but after reading all this and some more, I
ordered a Tundra,
Borealis, and Honey Bee (new U of S pollinator) Haskap (or Honeyberry) from
HoneyberryUSA. Running
out of room to put stuff...

Sarah, Glad to be of help. I'm still debating whether to give it a try or
not, as the reviews have been mixed. Regarding Purple Wonder, I've seen
regular strawberries with that color when they get to ripen in the sun
(protection from the robins, of course), so I'm not too impressed by that.
But of course, exploring is what it is about. There is the added benefit
that the birds here tend to ignore the white fruited varieties, which is
valuable to those of us who don't grow things in large numbers. Hard to get
by the $9.95 per plant + shipping though.
Now, if I could just get a yellow P. maritima!
John
