Montmorency is bomb-proof here. Fruits heavily every year, no insect damage
to speak of, minimal brown rot(weather dependent), birds get some, but if
mulberries(originally planted as a 'diversion' crop, though I prefer
mulberries to cherries) are ripening at the same time, the birds eschew the
cherries for the mulberries.
