At the last farmers market-- it was Garlic Festival day-- I made apple, garlic, and lamb sausage turnovers (all in one turnover, I mean). They were a big hit! This time of year, I like to cook everything with apples.

a/ I make that with any fruit I have, leave out the olive oil. Use more
fruit and olives than it says and just dump everything in to it at the
beginning and cook it that way after the marinade time. Fruit is good with
any species meat. IMO

Butchered one of my pigs a few days ago. Ate baked ham steak with my apples
and blackberries. Good. Fruit and pork go well together.
