Steve,

I will try to send you scionwood in the spring. I have a small daughter and
work gets very busy at that time of year, so I may fail. Please remind me at
the end of February for best results.

They have suckered profusely in a hedgrow between the road and a farm field.
May have been brush-hogged or mowed when young, which may have affected the
form. Anyways, the best one is a large clone that is about 40 feet long, 20
feet wide, and 10 high. The seem to top out at 10-12 feet, and all the ones
I've seen around here are more like suckering shrubs than trees, unless they
are planted as seedlings in people's yards, then they make a nice single
trunk tree, at least for the 5 years I've been able to observe them.

Seedlings grow very rapidly in good conditions. You can get an 8x8x8 tree in
3 years if you take good care of it. (plus an initial year in a pot)
