Ever want to eat Vidalia Onions out of season? When you get them in Spring, cut them in half. Plant the bottom half in soft soil covering with one to two inches of soil. Water well. You'll get a few to, maybe up to a dozen, green onions for you to enjoy. OR, leave them and they'll develop into bulbs. This may work with any onion but I've only tried it with Vidalias.
