Hi Steve,
It certainly isn't too late to continue grafting. Although I haven't used
the grafter, same as you purchased, I believe it should work well. Try "V"
grafting which is a variation to whip & tongue. Use the bands, pull them
tight, then cover completely with Para, then shield from the sun. If after
making the cuts you find a slight difference in size match up one side, don't
center them.
Remember persimmon grafting is almost as easy as apple.
