Hi Steve, Hidden springs Nursery has M nigra var Noire of Spain, but it's in the greenhouse. Not reliably hardy here. Hector black zone 6 middle tn. Where average winters are zero, but it can get -10 in severe years.

Group:

I'm looking for a source for Morus nigra. I can't find a US nursery. More importantly, as a continued discussion from before... Do you think that M. nigra will survive (long-term) in USDA zone 6b (northeast: NJ), where it can go down to -10 F. for a night or two?

If not, would it survive with a practical extent of winter-protection?

Thanks,
Steve

USDA zone 6b/7a; New Jersey
