I make pie with chokecherries. I remove the pits using the Villaware
Food Strainer with the 'grape spiral.' I know some people who make
Chokecherry Pie without removing the pits and give their guests a
container
to spit the pits into.

Do you mean: Prunus virginiana? I see Prunus serotina more commonly
here. Are these 'black cherries' superior for any type food use?
