I grow lingonberry. It establishes well as long as you meet its requirements: very acidic soil high in humus, moisture, and air, and low in nutrients. I use sulfur to acidify, add peat to planting holes, maintain permanent mulch, fertilize lightly with soybean meal, and drip irrigate. The plants have spread nicely. The fruit, to me, is delicious fresh. The evergreen plants are beautiful year round.

Lingonberries grow here in the peat swamps.  I tried to grow them

I've been interested in putting in some lingonberries and was
wondering
about other people's experience growing them. The fruit sounds really
good
and I like the idea of something that ripens late in the growing
season. My
concerns are that the plants are fairly expensive ($10 St. Lawrence),
the
yields seem small (1lb per plant after 3-6 years), and they are a bit
fussy
soilwise. Any believers out there?
