Part of the Googling problem seems to be that the name is more likely "Ildrød Pigeon" Ildrød meaning "fire red" in Danish. It looks like you'll need to use Google Translate to get further info.

It is listed in Crawford's Directory of Apple Cultivars, as originating in Denmark, but he gives no history.
I can't find anything by googling.
