- Subject: [NAFEX] White Mulberries Ripe
- Date: Sun, 25 Apr 2010 08:08:25 -0700 (PDT)
Here in NW FL, I ate my first ripe white mulberries this season a day or 2 ago. No black/red mulberries were noticed ripe yet. Although these are wild varieties and not so huge, they are tasty. I think they are a little behind on their ripening this year due to the unusual Winter we had. But they are still pretty early. No other fruit is ripe yet, including Brazos blackberry. So I guess white mulberry may qualify as the earliest ripening fruit here.
