Thanks for the info, Lucky.  I've noticed that most Asian pear varieties
are listed as growing to not more than 10 or 12 ft. I have found
descriptions of Asian pears on standard rootstock but I haven't found
either sources for them or descriptions of how tall they might get.  I'm
hoping for something that will get at least 15 to 20 ft.   Any ideas?
