David:

I recall around 50% of our Magness pear planting was on OHxF 333 and the rest was on several other OH crosses including 97, 339, 513 and possibly others.  Year-in/year-out I could see no difference in fruit size amongst them.  However we did thin annually to get size up.

     Hope this helps.

OHxF 333 rootstock has been and continues to be reported in the
literature as producing smaller fruit  of the pears grafted on it
compared to the same pears on other OHxF stock. What is your
experience with OHxF 333?  Please specify the pear varieties and the
rootstocks used in the comparisons? What is the age of the trees and
over how many years have the comparisons been made. Thank you.
