You can tell I'm a non-hunter.  I grow stuff!  But, I'd sure like to sample a roasted wild turkey.

Don't think I'll be bagging one soon, as we are in the middle of a two-day blizzard.  Snow is coming down at about 2 inches an hour and it's blowing like crazy.  Anyone outside, including a turkey, is hunkering down in this.

We never have any hunting info in the papers or TV news.  Not so big in California.  You might have to do what we do, and check with Fish and Game.

Thanks for the info, Lucky.  I thought wild turkeys were a protected species.  The bow-hunting season for wild turkeys opened in Wisconsin a couple of weeks ago, but there was no information about hunting the birds in Illinois in the local papers or TV stations.
