Dear Dr Parmer,
I liked your report about Fegra and decided to try the link you gave to Fruitipedia. A popup from my Norton anti-virus program which indicated 9 threats to my computer. So I closed the link. Are you aware of this?
   Thank you.

Dear Betsy,

Do you know that the wild growing Himalayan fig, FEGRA (Ficus palmata) does not get affected by rains at all.  This fig, though smaller in size than the cultivated fig, tastes same good like the cultivated figs.

You can see more details of this fig at the following Fruitipedia link:

We had normal rainfall this spring after two very dry years.  But since
the beginning of July, we have received less than 1.5 inches of rain at
my house.

The figs are magnificent!  They are ripening well without the typical
rot that develops in ripe figs after a rainfall.  Even the Latarullas
that are typically either unripe and tasteless or rotten are finally
displaying their true dessert potential - soft, yellow and really
honey-sweet.
