I grew some Fegra seedlings here in Oregon, and still have them. Unfortunately, they die to the ground even in the mildest winters. Even when the low temperatures are above 20 F. Common figs are never harmed by conditions that kill the fegra. They grow back vigorously each year, but never fruit.

The figs are magnificent!  They are ripening well without the typical
rot that develops in ripe figs after a rainfall.  Even the Latarullas
that are typically either unripe and tasteless or rotten are finally
displaying their true dessert potential - soft, yellow and really
honey-sweet.
