Where can someone purchase branch spreaders, preferably variable length branch spreaders? The purpose is to make wide angles on the branches.Anthony Curcio wrote:

We use wood lath, Menards or Home depot, $3 a bundle. Size it to the spread you want and cut a notch in both ends. If there is a big spread we use a cord with a piece of water hose to protect the branch and a weight.

I tried weight once. I added weigh in a location that brought the branch almost down to where I wanted it. I figured it would come down farther in time. I never got to find out. The wind came up and got the tree and the weight waving around. The next day, the branch had been ripped out of the trunk and was just hanging.
