Interesting. I don't think I've ever had a nectarine with as much flavor as a good peach.'
Maybe because of their increased brown rot susceptibility people around here pick them overly underripe? I couldn't grow them, myself; that is, the trees did fine, but all I ever got from my nectarine trees was an excellent source of brown rot spores.
