Serbian pie cherry was one of the parents of Northstar and perhaps
Meteor, both developed by the Univ. of Minn. Agricultural Experiment
Station. I'd be surprised, however, whether any trees of Serbian pie
cherry still exist at the university. -- Sam Brungardt, St. Paul, Minn.

Is anyone growing Serbian Pie Cherry? A search on the net isn't
pulling up anything except Northstar which supposedly is Morello
crossed with Serbian.

Said cherry is referenced in the following article:

tly-exposed-here/

Scout & Manchurian apricots set fruit for the first time every. Some
of the trees are more than 10 years old. I think it has something to
do discussing them on the list a few weeks ago. Power of suggestion &
all that :)
