Here is balmy zone 6 I have an apricot on a south-facing slope, and while it
blooms early, and I've feared frost damage, it reliably sets fruit.

Of course, it loses all its fruit prior to ripening, but I think that's due
to other issues, and might be mostly due to squirrels.
