Nice to see strong defense for Heritage. I think such a reliable and scrappy performer deserves some loyalty. Raspberry zealots can rate slight improvements in flavor as monumental but if you don't have the different varieties side by side I doubt memory would be adequate to rate the difference- but maybe I'm just inadequately sensitive to the subtleties here.
I grow many varieties of Jap. and Euro plums, Asian and Euro pears, apricots, blueberries, paw paws, 20 variety of peaches, 25 apples, a couple of nectarines, 2 types of figs, one Jap and one Amer persimmon, 2 types of mulberries, 2 types of grapes, several types of gooseberries and currants, chestnuts, hazel nuts, and lots of vegetables. Last thing I need is fussy raspberries. I bet a lot of you out there travel in a similar boat.
Of course you have to choose the varieties that perform well in your location. My Heritage is not your Heritage.
