Heritage is really not at all well adapted to cooler climates and/or shorter seasons.  Among its other shortcomings, IMO is flavor as well.  Autumn Bliss typically starts to ripen 3-4 weeks earlier than Heritage and is a better choice for many shorter season or cooler season areas.

I think Zone 3 is probably too far north for Heritage.

It will usually, but not always, ripen a nice fall crop in Zone 5. Flavor was very good in this location.
