I saved it and now it is planted since you reminded me. It was one day out of the fruit.
I would like some chocolate wood . Let me know when you will send it and 4-5 sticks would be great.

Richard,

What did you do with that one seed? Since Rosseyanka is a hybrid with very
low fertility, a good seed is rare. Nakitas Gift is a seedling of Rosseyanka
that is probably a backcross to kaki persimmon.

I have Giombo, and a branch broke from the weight of the fruit a few weeks
ago, but it is still attached and alive. I plan to prune it soon, so I can
take quite a few cuttings. I also have Chocolate and Hachiya. Chocolate
ripened earliest and also produced a lot of male flowers. All of the
Chocolate fruits had seeds, most of the Hachiyas had some seeds, but the
Giombos had few, if any seeds. Giombo was the last to ripen, and about 50%
of the fruits did not ripen.

Pete:

I have the Roseyanka(sp) that had over a marketbasket full of delicious
seedless fruit except for 1 seed in one fruit out of several dozen. I have
frozen the rest. They are delicious to me. I also have Fuyu and Hachiya,
Saijo, Tananashi, and Tamopan. I am supposed to have Suruga and Eurecka
non-
fruiting as yet. I had a tree loaded with Saijo fruit, also very good and
now majority now frozen.

Nafexers, I am interested in obtaining graftwood of the following Japanese
Persimmons: Old Homestead, Matsumoto Wasefuyu, Ichikichigiro, Brad Sample,
Izu, Honan Red,& Giomba. If you have these I would be interested in buying
at
least three sticks of each. I have one called Giant something but
missplaced
the rest of the name so do not need that one.(Contact me offline) Many
thanks.
