They also make a netting with 1/4 inch spacing as opposed to 1/2 inch. The quarter inch netting is much stronger and is less prone to hanging up in branches when pulling over the tree. Mine is about 40 X 40 and will totally encompass my 15 foot tree. A few birds do get in under it and when they finally get back out don't return. My squirrel population is too low to be a problem in cherries.
