How was the che? How long did it take to bear? It's on my short list of
stuff-I-want-to-plant.
I think the Che took a couple years before bearing. It's a female from Michael McConkey's place in VA....can't remember name of nursery. It's grafted onto OO.
They are really good...sweet...if you let them get ripe. When you pull one, if it doesn't bleed the white sap, it's gonna be really sweet. If sappy, still good. Kinda like a fig (as they are related).
Birds don't mess with it....it was probably a squirrel. One with a big "X" on it...ha ha ha.
I have cooked some down with figs, and they fit rite in.
