Hi Jim-

Well, that's an interesting suggestion.

But I don't have a cider press, and I have less than a gallon of plums.

So is there something I can imitate about the cider press that makes it not extract the astringency? Like if I squeezed the plums without grinding or rubbing them, or something?

I appreciate any suggestions.
