The tree you showed might be a replica, but I've seen trees nearly that size in Venezuela.  There are eight species, and they are native to Madagascar, mainland Africa, and Australia.  Humans brought them to South America.

Jerry, did you get my message that this is a hoax?  It's a manmade tree at Disney World in Florida.  Several people I sent this on to wrote back to tell me they'd seen it there.  The artist hired by Disney is a Carmel resident who's last name is White.  He was a neighbor of one of my church friends.  It's a cool tree, but alas...
