Try Boyne and Killarney red raspberries in Montana. They are both
extremely winter-hardy. I grow both and I have seen no damage from
the cold. Boyne has strong canes and spreads quickly by suckers.
Killarney has thinner canes and doesn't sucker as much as Boyne.
Killarney berries taste a little better than Boyne but they are both
good. Boyne is more productive. Water them a lot.
