Where did you get the M13, Tanis?
I've been wondering (not for myself) whether there was a source for some years since it has been reported to be tolerant to wet soils.

From a very small winter trial (one potted Antanovka, one potted EMLA 7, and
4 pots of M13), I'd like to report results. These were all wintered in the
same condition-- closed unheated space-- and I tried to gradually chill the
root masses but they got hit by a sudden freeze before Christmas.
Three of the 4 M13s are growing well, but the one that's growing just OK was
weak last year (may have missed a fertilizer dose?); the EMLA 7 tried to leaf
out, but is dead; the Antanovka is OK.
