This is not my personal experience but the experience of several MidFEXers in
the Chicago area (look at their Web site http://www.midfex.org to see more.)
Look at the link to Gene's backyard. Al Cosnow and Gene Yale both have
extensive plantings of m-27 in ground. From what I understand the main issue
is that it is dwarfing due to a small root system which means it is drought
intolerant. You have to care for it more like a perennial flower.
