Hi all,
A friend and I are thinking about putting in a few apricots. We've read Bob Purvis's suggestions of cultivars, If I could pick the perfect tree, it would have some resistance to bacterial spot, bacterial canker, and brown rot, and either bloom quite late or have good bud hardiness. What are you experiences?
My other question is one of rootstocks and suppliers.
Has anyone tried apricots on Krymsk 1 & 2? I'd like a rootstock that can handle less-than-well drained soils, that has some dwarfing effects, and that doesn't cause earlier blooming. Who sells apricots on Krymsk?
