Unless the label mentions it peat will contain no limestone and will
be very acidic. Peat processed to use as planting media will
sometimes have a wetting agent and limestone but it is more expensive
and usually only available from greenhouse suppliers.
As I understand dormant oil it is not affective residually- it
suffocates what's on the tree and rapidly evaporates. How would it
suffocate anything that lands on the tree after the spray? This is
why thourough coverage is so important.
