I've got on built by Lacrosse Technologies. It came with an indoor
"station" and a single sensor, to which I added two more. I think the range
is supposed to be 300 feet (don't quote me on this). It works well,
measures temperature and humidity from each sensor (plus the indoor
station). A nice option is that the indoor station can be hooked up to a
computer and it will log temperatures over whatever time frame you download
(the station will only store about 2000 readings at a time and the readings
must be manually imported into the data logging program on your computer)

The only complaint I could make about it is that it is a pain in the *** to
set-up (which needs to be done when first setting up and each time you
change the batteries). I've only had to change the batteries once a year.

I think the model I have is W-8610U, but if anyone is interested I can look
at the indoor station and get the exact model number.

I have one that we have been using since last June, when I bought it at
a hardware store. It transmits 80+ feet, records min and max indoor and
outdoor temps, digital indoor display, also tells time of day that the
min/max occurred. Doesn't always agree with the regular thermometer
that is less than a foot away from the outdoor transmitter, but they are
usually within a couple of degrees.
I will have to look and see what the brand and model is. I recall
looking them up on the internet after I bought ours, and finding that
they were also available with multiple remote transmitters, which sounds
like a good option.

Does anyone, in a cold climate, have one they like? After 12 pages of
Googling I am not sure what I am after exists: Good to minus 45F,
transmits to 100', a simple sensor - (not a dozen bells and whistles),
under $125
thanks, Del
