Michelle,

The WVU site lists soybean as being tolerant of juglone, but my experience in a our North Carolina red clay is that soybeans are very much affected by nearby black walnut trees, and cutting down a large black walnut showed that it took about 5 years for the effect to disappear.  I do agree that wheat and corn are unaffected by juglone.

Here's a list of juglone-susceptible and juglone-tolerant plants from West Virginia Univ. Extension.
It lists apples as susceptible.  Do you agree?
