- Subject: [NAFEX] Pear Grafts
- Date: Sun, 27 May 2007 07:55:53 -0400
This spring I whip and tongue grafted several pears on
Betulifolia
pear rootstock. About 2/3 of
the grafts have leafed out fine but several
do not look like they will "take."
We have had many days in the mid
to upper 80's. At what point
should I stop pinching the growth below
the graft to encourage budding? Is it recommended to
regraft next year?
Can I rework the tops with my refrigerated scion wood
now?
