I have two Aronia seedlings that bear abundant fruit every year. But even when dead ripe there is still some astringency in mine. I do eat then out of hand and rather enjoy them. Had my wife make a cobbler using them which she didn't care for. The skins remained rather tough. My responce is try them.
I gave White Owl Winery 5 gallons of fruit to try wine, bvut never heard the results.
