Graduate Assistantship- The Department of Horticultural Sciences at Cornell University at the Geneva Campus invites applications for a 12 month appointment for an MS (two years) or Ph.D. (three years) in the field of horticulture or plant breeding. Qualifications are a BS or MS in a plant science-related area, preferably with an emphasis on plant breeding and/or genetics. Successful applicant will work in the area of breeding and genetics in berries or stone fruits. The specific research topic will be in the area of pest resistance, fruit quality, or cross compatibility. Preferred starting date is August 2007. The assistantship includes tuition, stipend and health insurance.
