Hello All,
I recently tasted a strange apple. In the orchard a yound apple tree lost it's scion and came up from the roots. The owner does not recall what the rootstock was.
The apple is odd. For those who know what the old fashioned drink of "raspberry vinegar" tastes like, the happle has a solid hint of that.
It is a red apple, white flesh, with a blotchy stripe pattern. Texture is odd too. Light, cripsy.
Does anybody know which dwarf rootstock offers this apple?
Thanks,
Tom
