I never thought about coons eating slugs. Trouble is they also eat chickens, alive right through the wire. We discovered that skunks eat nests of baby voles in the spring, which we like, and they tend to do less damage otherwise. Lost a duck to one and probably some guinea nests. The guineas were no loss, butchered the last two males recently, and things are much quieter now. Donna
