Reference the recent discussion of honeylocust possibly needing to pass through the digestive system on an animal to break down the seed coat for germination.

Included in the body of this message are two pictures of seedlings under one of my honeylocust trees. These seeds definitely never had the benefit of digestive systems. The picture using the limb lopers as a boarder had 21 seedlings in the square. I had removed the wild pansies and other weeds around them. The other picture is an undisturbed area of seedlings.
