I have bagged apples on a number of trees with most of these very
sucessful. Some did have water problems, staying in the bag.

Before I put the bags on, in a stack of 10-20 I cut both bottom corners
with a sharp sissors, about 12-1" corner missing does not make a hole
for bugs but does let the water out.

I have used the fold top sandwich cheapest at Walmart, and the zip lock
sandwich at Walmart. I used a small stapler to attach these. Some of
these apples out grew the bag corner. These stretched the bags to the
point of rupture of the bag not hurting the apple. Most fit very well
into the bags at the end of the season.

This year I have only purchased zip lock sandwich bags and close the
bag from both sides up to the stem. Last year I stapled but I am trying
to see if that is necessary. I have 100 bags on now and only 2 have come
off so far. I have not had hard wind yet, so will see. One apple and bag
fell, and that is normal. Some that were going to self thin will!
