I built an arbor along the east side of my house with the intention to raise raspberries, strawberries and some blue berries. So far the raspberries have grown well (2 years) but have not produced one blossom or one raspberry. I am sure there is a shade problem. The blue berries and strawberry plants were put in this spring, so I am not too sure if these will fare any better. I am wondering about other fruiting plants that might have a better chance in these borderline light conditions. The area gets about 1/2 a day of sun (the house shades the area in the afternoons), and the neighbor has some tall pines that have some shading of the morining sun (these trees are abount 20-30 feet from the arbor). Any suggestions or sucess stories would be appreciated. Otherwise my wife will turn the whole area into a flower bed.
Thanks
