Many varieties possess flower buds on one year wood (scion wood) and vegative buds as well.  The vegative buds will emerge a couple of days later.  Gently remove the flowers and the grafts will do just fine.

I bench grafted some apples .The buds look like they are going to be flower buds not vegetative.Any thing I should do.I know I am supposed to graft leaf buds but they now look like flowers.           skip s. zone 5
