Mark

I have had apple, pear, Mulberry, grapes, persimmon, I don't remember what else. I store my scions in a plastic bag with a small sheet of paper toweling. I do not wax. I do soak in a mild solution of bleach. I also check every so often to look for any possible mildew or dryness. If mildew or dry I usually just sprits with the mild solution of the bleach and keep an I on it sometimes I will take out of bag and clean in the bleach solution before putting back in the drawer in the fridge.

Gordon,

I'm curious about the unused scion wood that you left develop roots.
What kind of tree was this (apple, pear, walnut.)? If you let the tree
develop, did it take more or less time to fruit that a comparable
grafted tree? How did the shape and size compare?
