- Subject: [NAFEX] Red Currants?
- Date: Sun, 15 Feb 2004 09:25:28 -0500
Hello All,
This may be a question for Ed...
There are three red currant bushes growing in an old line
fence. They fruits well and have berries like Red Lake,
only a little smaller, deeper red, and a little sweeter.
They are not well branched, nor suckering.
These three plants are small, stiff branched and as hoary
as a 100 year old apple. They have been in this location
since 1948 when the farm was purchased.
How do you propagate a currant that seems to only offer
hoary old wood?
Later,
Tom
